Maritime Concert Opera presents: Pirates of Penzance, an operetta in concert by Gilbert and Sullivan

This event has passed.

This is one of Gilbert and Sullivan's greatest operettas! Soft-hearted pirates, a bumbling Major General and his daughters, confused policemen and a piratical maid of all work collide on the Penzance coast in this lively show. MCO will present all the music from Pirates of Penzance (with linking narration where needed) in concert at the Osprey Arts Centre in Shelburne on Tuesday, June 18, in Halifax at the Maritime Conservatory on Thursday, June 20 and in Lunenburg at Central United Church on Staruday, June 22. All shows will begin at 7.30 p.m.

We have an all-Nova Scotia cast including soprano Jodie Alcorn-Miller, tenor Patrick Simms, baritone Ross Thompson, bass J-P Décosse, contralto Nina Scott-Stoddart and, of course, our wonderful Music Director Tara Scott and the MCO Chorus!

Tickets for Shelburne will be available from the theatre. Tickets for Halifax and Lunenburg are available through TicketHalifax.com. Advance tickets $25, $30 at the door.
