A night of conversation and celebration in support of AfterWords Literary Festival in partnership with Word on the Street Halifax, featuring poets Sue Goyette and Georgette Leblanc in conversation with Stephanie Domet. Sue Goyette’s book Ocean won the Nova Scotia MasterWorks Prize, and was shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize. It is published by Gaspereau Press. It is being translated into French by Georgette Leblanc. Georgette Leblanc is the parliamentary poet laureate, and the author of several books of poetry, including Le Grand Feu.

Together, Goyette and Leblanc will discuss poetry and the particular art of translating it.

Additionally, poet Rebecca Thomas offers bespoke poems for a price, and a well-curated silent auction features items and objets from local writers.
