The Coast Cannabis Sessions will offer a series of discussions focusing on education, application, and demystification for both the avid and new consumer of cannabis in Halifax. These blunt conversations will centre your important questions on topics such as methods of consumption, the science behind the plant, addressing stigma, growing from home and craft cannabis, weed 2.0, and more!
A first for this region, attendees will have exclusive access to speaker sessions and get the chance to interact with feature brands, influencers, industry trailblazers and other consumers. Come with us on this joint venture of pot-focused posturing, it’s time to learn more about all things grow.

Cannabis may be legal but the stigma isn’t gone. From employers to family, to friends, it can still be difficult to disclose and discuss. Talking about it is key, we have compiled this panel of experts to chat about the stigma they have experienced but also give you some real-world tools to end stigma in your life and for those around you!
HOW TO CONSUME: LET’S TALK POT
The number one question out there about cannabis consumption is delivery method! With so many options and methods and benefits to consuming one way or another, there is a lot of information for the consumer to sift through. This panel of experts from featured brands are here to help shed some light on the options they are providing consumers but also chat about some of the mental and physical benefits related to each method of consumption.
TERPENE TALK
This in-depth talk will explore the elusive world of terpenes! Every plant produces terpenes which are the aromatic oils responsible for the plant’s scent. They have powerful capabilities and there are over 100 terpenes that have been identified in the cannabis plant! Join Nick Robertson, Product Manager (OGi) as he takes you on an exploration of some of these unique profiles!
WOMEN IN WEED
It’s pretty dope that when we started planning this event we were immediately met by all the amazing women leading the charge within the Canadian Cannabis industry. Learn from these mothers on how they have made their way through the industry, what do they love about their job, what do they love about the plant? We could all take a queue from cannabis and elevate the female!
CANNABIS 2.0
We made it through phase one, what does phase two look like for the consumer? When will we be buying infused chocolates or beverages (edibles will be legal to sell on or before Oct. 17 this year :) )? What are some of our feature brands working on to bring to market in October 2019?
