Cecilia Concerts presents: Violinist Jolente De Maeyer and Pianist Nikolaas Kende

Violinist Jolente De Maeyer and pianist Nikolaas Kende share a European Afternoon when the duo performs in Halifax as the final and only Canadian date of their North American tour. A pupil of Yehudi Menuhin, Jolente De Maeyer studied at the Royal College of Music in London and received awards from the Jong Tenuto Competition, the Charles de Beriot Competition, the Cardona International Competition, and the Benjamin Britten International Violin Competition. Nikolaas Kende studied at the Antwerp Conservatory and the Amsterdam Conservatory and is the winner of the Antwerp Cantabile Competition, the Axiom Classics Competition, and the Royal Flemish Young Soloists Competition. Together, the Belgian natives will perform works by composers Beethoven and Franck.

Élève de Yehudi Menuhin, Jolente De Maeyer a étudié au Royal College of Music de Londres et a reçu des prix au Concours Jong Tenuto, au Concours Charles de Beriot, au Concours International Cardona et au Concours International de Violon Benjamin Britten. Nikolaas Kende a étudié au Conservatoire d'Anvers et au Conservatoire d'Amsterdam et est lauréat du Concours Cantabile d'Anvers, du Concours Axiom Classics et du Concours Royal Flemish Young Soloists.
