Featuring Choirs for Change's core choir Polaris, this year's Celebrations is held in support of the Halifax Workers' Action Centre (HWAC). HWAC provides free legal information and education to enable workers to organize for positive change.

This concert explores themes of labour & rest, and will feature the works of contemporary choral composers Rosephanye Powell and Eric Whitacre, Canadian composers Nicholas Kelly and Tracy Wong, and choral arrangements of musicians AURORA and Dolly Parton. Polaris is excited to be joined by Hammer & Sichel, a musical duo that plays acoustic songs with a worker-focused bend!

In addition to a portion of ticket sales being donated to HWAC, there will also be a 50/50 raffle that will go directly to HWAC at both concerts.

Tickets are available through Ticket Halifax at a variety of price points. A limited number of tickets will also be available to purchase at the door, with a Pay-What-You-Can option for the underwaged.

Can't join us on Saturday, December 2nd? We will also be performing on Frirday, December 1st; get tickets here
