Lost and Found

The opening concert of our 37th Season is a journey through loss and pain as we reach toward hope and healing.  This first concert under our new Artistic Director and Conductor Joel Tranquilla looks at loss: the loss of home in a housing crisis, the devastating loss of a loved one, but also speaks to the resiliency of the human spirit.  Featuring David Lang’s Pulitzer Prize-winning The Little Match Girl Passion and introducing works by Canadian composers Katerina Gimon, Benjamin Sigerson and Dan Steenburgh, the concert also contrasts Bobby McFerrin's 23rd Psalm with Mozart's Veni Sancte Spiritus.

 The Wind’s True Song

This concert showcases the breadth of Camerata's expressive capabilities, from Monteverdi and Brahms to Sherryl Sewepagaham and Stephen Sondheim.  Featuring Paul John Rudoi’s song cycle The Wind’s True Song as well as works for clarinet and choir by Canadian composers Tim Corlis and our Composer-in Residence Benjamin Sigerson, this concert weaves together themes of courage, invitation, and acceptance.  Join us for a concert that moves and uplifts!
