Lee-Anne Poole's Country Song & Short Skirt Butch at Steeple Green

Join us for an evening of storytelling, reading, and some attempts at Country music! A double bill performance of 'Country Song' and reading of the short play, 'Short Skirt Butch'.

Lee-Anne Poole is a playwright, arts producer, and wannabe country musician. Poole's play 'Country Song' premiered in Halifax in 2013; since then, she's toured it nationally and internationally. "Poole had the audience eating from her hands from the first strum of her guitar and held them there with her humour and grace." -The Coast

'Short Skirt Butch' follows Jean, a brokenhearted queer, post-break-up, in a show that explores 'femme', sexual polyamory, and heartbreak. "Jean wants what we all want: love, security and hot sex. She may apologize for her behaviour, she never apologizes for who she is. Very refreshing." -The Coast
