The Aquakultre Project

Thu, Apr 6, 2023 at 7pm

Lance Sampson, also known by his stage name “Aquakultre”, is an award-winning Nova Scotian songwriter, storyteller, and musician. His work revolves around community and history—specifically his own African Nova Scotian history and heritage.

The Aquakultre Project is 2b’s newest music-theatre hybrid collaboration, built upon the foundations of our hugely successful collaborations with Hawksley Workman (The God that Comes) and Ben Caplan (Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story).

The 2b team has been working with Aquakulture and the band to create new songs for our upcoming collaboration. As part of 2b's SPRINGboard mini festival, we are excited to invite you into our process to experience some of this new music at our work-in-progress showings.

2b will be hosting three work-in-progress showings of The Aquakultre Project, two industry showings and one performance open to the public on Saturday April 8th, there will be a community afterparty in the Bus Stop's lobby following Saturday's public performance.

All tickets are by donation. Please feel free to pay whatever you feel comfortable giving. We're excited to have you join us!
