CW:  discusses death, sexism, abuse

This production reflects on women in the horror and film industry, while exploring design-driven theatre. Our story follows the Usher, a guide for an outdated ghost tour. The Usher guides audiences through environments concerning horror and women in cinema. The tour was created by Mr. Sogyny, an unseen man, who represents sexism. In our story, this is the first tour the Usher has given without Mr. Sogyny watching them. Eventually, they feel free to ignore the sexist dialogue of the tour, triggering the appearance of ghosts inspired by female horror characters. Through design-driven theatre, the Usher uncovers new perspectives on these characters, gaining courage to critique and reflect.

Halifax Fringe prioritizes accessibility and community care. We require masks indoors to keep each other safe. Together we can make our festival a safer space for everyone, including our immunocompromised patrons, artists, volunteers, and staff. If you forget yours, free masks will be available at each venue. Thank you for your care and support!
