featuring guests: Laura Selenzi, Torin, Ava, Rachele Manett, April Hubbard, and tech by Steph Kincade.  Everyone knows parenting isn’t easy. But for Sweatpants, the job gets completely out of hand when their only support leaves them alone with an inconsolable baby, some vague advice—and a mysterious and mystical creature who may or may not have their best interests at heart.

Sweatpants, a collaborative circus show written by author Sal Sawler and workshopped by circus artist Vanessa Furlong, features two excerpts from a modern fairy tale exploring issues of parenthood, community, and neurodivergence.

*please note you will be watching a workshop rehearsal, and not a polished presentation.

We offer a pre show touch tour for Blind and partially sighted audience members, as well as ASL for our narration. We are actively seeking cast and crew for phase two of this project/grant application.  IBPOC and members of Mad,Deaf and Disability communities to the front*

Halifax Fringe prioritizes accessibility and community care. We require masks indoors to keep each other safe. Together we can make our festival a safer space for everyone, including our immunocompromised patrons, artists, volunteers, and staff. If you forget yours, free masks will be available at each venue. Thank you for your care and support!
