Comedy

On a remote island, just East of Nowhere, Nathalie Grant is waiting: waiting for a very elusive bird to perform it's legendary dance. One Rare Bird is a story about how we come to see ourselves through other people, or sometimes, other birds.  It celebrates the variety, strangeness, creativity and brilliance of bird behaviour and asks the audience to celebrate the same in themselves.  It is the story of one woman struggling, adapting, evolving, diverging, fusing and becoming, while she waits for One Rare Bird.

Halifax Fringe prioritizes accessibility and community care. We require masks indoors to keep each other safe. Together we can make our festival a safer space for everyone, including our immunocompromised patrons, artists, volunteers, and staff. If you forget yours, free masks will be available at each venue. Thank you for your care and support!
