At This Hour - Relaxed Performance
In order to make At This Hour more accessible to those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), young children and families, and those with sensory sensitivities, there will be a relaxed performance on December 9th at 7:30pm.
“Relaxed Performances are designed to welcome audience members and their families who could benefit from a more relaxed environment, including Autistic and neurodivergent patrons. The set-up includes: a pre-show introduction to the actors/characters, less intense sound and lighting effects, a very low level house light in the audience, the ability for anyone to come and go from the space, and a calm space outside the theatre.” - Theatre Passe Muraille
In addition, loud and sudden sound cues will be reduced, flashing lights will be avoided, and the audience will be free to get up and move around through the nearby exhibits throughout the performance. There will also be an introduction to the actors and an overview of what will happen during the show provided to the audience before the show begins.
