Site-Responsive Devising: Starting with the Space
with Matthew Thomas Walker

Thu, Mar 5, 2020 from 5:15pm - 7:15pm

This event has passed.

This participatory workshop will have artists working collaboratively creating devised works in response to non-traditional performance spaces. Matt will teach students how to uncover the stories and staging possibilities that exist in the everyday spaces that surround them.  Participants will leave this workshop with the skills to create their own work in any space that inspires them.

Matthew Thomas Walker is an award winning theatre artist who joined the Fountain School faculty in 2018. He is also Co-Artistic Director for Toronto-based Litmus Theatre, a Dora Award-winning indie theatre company, which creates intimate and surprising site-specific shows. Matthew has taught, directed and sat on panels for various educational institutions and theatre organizations throughout Canada.
