Halifax Summer Opera Festival presents A Midsummer Night's Dream, an opera by Benjamin Britten

One of Shakespeare’s greatest plays set by one of England’s greatest composers, this version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is unsettling, haunting, hilarious and stunningly beautiful.

In English, with projected English libretto. Fully-staged and costumed and accompanied by piano.

These performances feature talented young singers from across Canada and the world in town for the 14th annual Halifax Summer Opera Festival, a competitive opera training program. This is an opportunity to hear first class young singers in an intimate venue.

If not sold out you can also buy tickets at the door.  HSOF Box Office will operate just outside each venue from 45 minutes before stated curtain time. At the door we accept cash, cheques, VISA and Mastercard.
