Villages is a folk group from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Made up of a group of cousins and influenced by artists such as Fleet Foxes and the Pogues, the group set out to create a sound inspired by their home in the Maritimes. The result is a collection of original songs that feature poetic storytelling over modern and traditional sounds. Working with producer Joel Plaskett, Villages has released a number of singles which have been featured on CBC Radio, BBC Radio and a number of other Canadian radio stations. The Group is currently recording their debut album.
