Beauty is found in unexpected places.

A duet for storyteller and violinist based on a short story by Yann Martel (author of Life of Pi), One Discordant Violin explores a transformative encounter with an unlikely composer, asking what happens when we reach for what is beyond our grasp.

This world premiere brings together an extraordinary creative team including husband and wife Anthony Black and Ann-Marie Kerr whose seminal collaboration Invisible Atom won awards and accolades around the world. It features a live score by Jacques Mindreau, whose violin playing is intricate, haunting, and extraordinarily inventive, and innovative sound designer Aaron Collier, well known for deft, emotional, and creative music and theatre projects with his company Heist. Award-winning projection designer Nick Bottomley applies a distinctive and magical visual approach.
