Katie finds stages in the most ordinary of places: a front porch, a campfire, a living room near you. She blends humour with humility and engages with her audience through storytelling and simple, honest music. Her songs reflect a life spent rambling from coast to coast to coast, exploring and expanding with feet firmly planted.
In June, 2016, Katie released her first EP, We're All Home, recorded at Porch Light Studios in Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick, with generous support from FACTOR (the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings) and the Government of Canada. The album is woven with clean, classic melodies and delicate lyrics; her shows inspire unabashed foot tapping, hearty singalongs and a few stray tears... sometimes all at the same time.
See her live at The Company House on Sunday September 18th at 8 pm. Doors open at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $7 at the door or $5 in advance.
