Dance is alive and well in the Maritimes with many dance studios providing lessons in social, ballroom, Latin and swing dancing. The popularity of television shows such as Dancing with the Stars has spurred on a new and exciting stimulation for the dancing enthusiast. Dancers love the sound of a big band and appreciate the immediate energy of a live band in the dance hall.
Swing dancing has become very popular with the prominence and consistent growth of swing dance clubs such as the Dalhousie Swing Dance Society. This active club boasts over 500 student and community members. The “Sunday Afternoon, Big Band Dance” will provide a perfect live music dancing opportunity for all dancers and live big band music enthusiasts.
Come and dance to the big band sounds or sit back and relax and enjoy the wonderful live music with your purchase of one or more tickets to the “Sunday Afternoon, Big Band Dance”.
A portion of the net ticket proceeds will be donated to the IWK
A concession stand is provided with snacks and drinks. Your purchase of snacks and drinks for $1.00 each will be donated to the IWK.

In addition to arranging, Chris plays saxophone on the CD and is joined by some of the best players in the region to create a big band sound that is second to none.
This CD is a sample of what audiences can expect from the new dance band Andy is developing to perform the best dance tunes from the 20's to the 90's, for dancers 20 - 90.
